About the author

Russell Gunson is the Director of IPPR (Institute for Public Policy Research) Scotland. Before assuming this position in 2015, he worked across government, parliament and the voluntary and private sectors. His previous position was as director of the National Union of Students Scotland where he worked on a cross-party basis within Scottish politics.
