Hans Licht taught at Leipzig University in Germany. He wrote Sexual Life in Ancient Greece between the two World Wars.Although he chose to write on a highly charged topic concerning the Ancient World, his own modern reservations come across as he discusses certain aspects of sexuality. His misogynistic attitude underestimates the mental capacity of women, despite his attempt to voice their side of the story through his research on the limited texts concerning them. Furthermore, his attempt to show that the human body was considered natural and beautiful is undermined by his illusive diction.
