Dr. Ajit Kumar serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at IITRAM, Ahmedabad. Prior to joining IITRAM, he was a DLR-DAAD Postdoctoral researcher in the Institute of Flight Systems at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Germany. He holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (2019), a Master’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai (2012), and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata (2010). He also worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at IISc Bangalore and CSIR-NAL Bangalore during 2012 to 2014. His research interests include machine learning-based fixed wing and rotorcraft identification, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Industrial Io T, and experimental flight mechanics.
Dr Ganesh Iyer is currently positioned as Assistant Professor at Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, IITRAM, Ahmedabad. He acquired his Ph.D. in Computational Materials Science from IIT Kanpur in 2018. Dr Iyer graduated from Anna University Chennai with bachelor’s in Mechanical and master’s in Manufacturing Engineering. He has published several international papers till date and won research awards from his alma mater. Few of the notable awards include the Student Research Award in 2017 from IIT Kanpur and listing as Featured Researcher in 2018.
Mr Ulkesh B. Desai is currently functioning as Group Head of Microwave Payloads Mechanical Group (MPMG), Space Applications Centre, ISRO, India. He has over 26 years’ of experience in sensor configuration, mechanical design (structural and thermal) and analysis, and space qualification testing for various microwave electronic packages at frequencies like P, L, S, C, Ku, Ka, V, W and Terahertz bands. He has played a vital role in the design and successful realization of subsystems for RISAT-1/1A/2B, Chandrayaan 2/3, Gaganyaan, Ocean SAT2/3 satellites. He executes Techno Managerial leadership role for design and realisation of various Microwave Remote Sensing sensors for Space, Airborne and ground platforms. He has published more than 30 technical papers at national and international level. He has one patent and 5 of his designs are catalogued in ISRO’s Catalogue of Innovation.
Dr. Arun Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad (a state funded Government institute). He has done his doctoral degree from IIT Kanpur in the field of Computational Materials Science. He has an experience of 8 years in teaching and research. He has more than 20 publications in reviewed journals of international repute and has two book chapters. He has an h-index 7 and i10-index 4. He is also guiding four research scholars in the area of nanocomposites for energy harvesting applications. He is a member in various academic and administrative committees of the University.
