Wolfgang Oberkofler wird am 15. November 1979 als dritter Sohn eines Landwirtes in Bruneck/Südtirol (Italien) geboren. Der Älteste seiner beiden Brüder ist Holzschnitzer und Musiker, sein zweiter Bruder arbeitet als Musiklehrer und ebenfalls als Musiker. Nach seiner Schulzeit, die er mit der Matura einer Handelsschule beendete, belegte Oberkofler einen EU-Kurs über angewandte Informatik und begann im Jahr 1999 die Arbeit als Computertechniker. Im Jahr 2003 beendete er diese Tätigkeit und wechselte in die GKN Driveline in Bruneck, wo er seitdem als Facharbeiter tätig ist.
