लेखक के बारे में
Author and Artist Amanda Mc Callister was born at Winter Haven Hospital to David and Doris Mc Callister. She grew up on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes with her Grandfather Fred Wright as her guide to lake front living. She graduated from Winter Haven High School and went on to Stetson University where she majored in English. While at Stetson she met her husband, Thomas Lentz. Upon graduation, she taught at her Alma Matters Westwood Middle School, then Winter Haven High School, before helping to open Ridge Community High School with her professional mentor Sherry Trent Wells. While at Ridge, she rediscovered her love of artwork while founding and sponsoring a student leadership organization, Sigma Alpha Sigma, which required her to design and create extensive art and design projects for student recognitions, events, and graphic designs for marketing. She earned her master’s degree in educational leadership from the American College of Education during her more than a decade as an educator. She would later go on to work for the Lake Wales Public Library and Lake Wales Arts Council. Her career as an artist took off during this time with her works being featured in galleries throughout the Southeast and a stint exhibiting at outdoor art shows. She is currently a full-time artist and entrepreneur. This book fulfills one of her lifelong goals to be a published author.
