Barry Cooper grew up in central Georgia. At the age of sixteen, he married, dropped out of high school, and entered the workforce to provide for his family. He finished high school at night and went on to Emergency Medical Technician school. After graduating, he began a career as a Firefighter/EMT. He later went to paramedic school. He has worked his way up through the ranks to Battalion Chief. After thirty years his marriage fell apart. Barry divorced and found himself alone, wondering what had happened. As he began to run through his mind of the last thirty years of his life, he found ways that he could have done things different. He began putting his thoughts down on paper. If we can stop one marriage and influence another to not end in divorce, we can slowly turn the tide of the epidemic that is plaguing the nation we love.
