Brash, controversial, and never at a loss for words, Dallas Green is a larger than life baseball personality whose career has spanned the decades from the Joe DiMaggio era to today”s stars. As a manager, he led the Philadelphia Phillies to the franchise”s first World Series title in 1980 and also served memorable stints as the manager of the New York Yankees in 1989 and New York Mets in the mid-1990s. As the Chicago Cubs” general manager in the 1980s, Green is credited with building the 1984 National League West champions. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor to the General Manager of the Philadelphia Phillies. Alan Maimon is a journalist, author, and researcher whose newspaper work has included a series about the court system in Kentucky that was a finalist for the 2004 Pulitzer Prize in Public Service. He started his professional writing career as a news assistant and sportswriter in the Berlin bureau of The New York Times. He is a Philadelphia native, a graduate of Brown University, and the author of Shane Victorino: The Flyin” Hawaiian. Maimon also coauthored If You Love This Game…An MVP”s Life in Baseball with Hall of Famer Andre Dawson. He lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.
