Jan Abram é psicanalista supervisora e analista didata na British Psychoanalytical Society, professora convidada na University College, em Londres, membro da International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA) e vice-presidente da European Psychoanalytic Federation (EPF). É autora de diversos livros e artigos, entre eles: The Language of Winnicott: a dictionary of Winnicott's use of words (1996; 2007), vencedor do Awarded Outstanding Academic Book of the Year de 1997; Donald Winnicott today (2013); e The clinical paradigms of Melanie Klein and Donald Winnicott: comparisons and dialogues (2018), escrito em coautoria com R. D. Hinshelwood. Atuou também como editora de diversas publicações direcionadas ao estudo da obra de Winnicott, a cuja teoria Abram se dedica, especialmente. Clinica em Londres.
