A young single mother runs away, with her child, from her abusive partner. She takes up residence in a small beach side town and becomes involved with the people who live there. Body of woman is found on a beach near the holiday retreat where she lives and works. There are several suspects in the murder , including the ex- partner of the single mother. The story gradually reveals each of the suspects personal lives. In the meantime, the young mother falls in love with the manager of the holiday retreat, but there are obstacles in the way of their happiness. A twist at the end suggests that there is more to the story than what is told in this narrative.
