Jill Annison is associate professor in criminal justice studies at Plymouth University. Her career has focused on women offenders as a practitioner, in teaching and as a researcher. Jo Brayford is senior lecturer in criminology and criminal justice at the University of South Wales. Her research interests include offending behaviour, women and social problems.
