Golemo Karolina, Ph.D., is a sociologist of culture, holding a degree in journalism and social communication. Assistant Professor at the Institute of Intercultural Studies, Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Graduated also from secondary music school (piano). Her research interests focus on cultural diversity of Italy and Iberian Peninsula, artistic expression of migrants, music in intercultural relations, postcolonial relations in cultural perspective (in the context of Italy and Portugal). Currently she is conducting a research on African cultural heritage in Portugal and is a Principal Investigator in the international HERA-funded project European Music Festivals, Public Spaces, and Cultural Diversity (www.festiversities.org).Kupis Marta is a doctoral student at the Jagiellonian University’s Doctoral School of Humanities in Kraków, Poland. Her Ph D thesis focuses on Pol’and’Rock Festival, analyzing its audience’s behaviours online. She obtained her MA diplomas in sociology and international cultural studies at the same university. Since 2019 she participates in the international HERA funded Festi Versities project, focusing on the ways in which music festivals help connect people of diverse origins and identities.
