Maria Stern wurde in Ostberlin geboren und wuchs in Österreich auf. Sie studierte Schauspiel und Tanz (Niederlande), arbeitete als Model und Lehrerin. Sie gründete den Verein “Forum Kindesunterhalt”, publizierte in diversen Anthologien und veröffentlichte zwei Krimis. Als Parteichefin von JETZT machte sie Kinderarmut in Österreich und die prekäre Lebenssituation vieler Alleinerzieher Innen zum Politikum. Sie ist Preisträgerin des FM4 Publikumspreis (Protestsongcontest) und Delegierte der IG Autorinnen und Autoren.
