Professor Bongani Bantwini is Research Professor of Schooling (Primary and Secondary Education) at North-West University, Potchefstroom, in the School of Natural Sciences and Technology Education. Professor Nolutho Diko is a research professor at North-West University in the Faculty of Education and Training focusing on capacity development and enhancement for academics and post-graduate students. Dr Logan Govender is the education programme manager of Save the Children South Africa, where he is also responsible for the early childhood care and development sector. He holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Dr Zingiswa Jojo is a senior lecturer in the Department of Mathematics Education at the College of Education. She has served in various capacities in the field of teacher education, including training teachers for the Secondary Teachers Diploma (STD) and Committee of Heads of Education (CHED) qualifications. She has taught several courses at the undergraduate level in the areas of pure mathematics and mathematics education and has taught mathematics both full-time and part-time at a range of institutions. Ms Nomveliso Khaile is a socio-economic impact assessment system senior sector specialist in the Department of Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation (DPME), assessing possible impacts of new and amended government policies, regulations, and bills on government priorities before approval. She has been specialising in the basic education sector since 2010 when she joined the DPME, monitoring the progress of the sector in improving the quality of basic education. Professor Moeketsi Letseka is acting director of Unisa Press on secondment from the Department of Educational Foundations, College of Education. Dr Letseka is editor-in-chief of Africa Education Review, associate editor of Mevlana International Journal of Education, member of the editorial advisory board of the International Journal of Education, and consultant editor of the South African Journal of Higher Education. Dr Thabo Mabogoane is deputy director-general in the Office of the Presidency in South Africa. He serves as the outcomes facilitator (sector specialist) for Outcome 1: Improved quality of basic education and Outcome 5: A skilled and capable workforce to support an inclusive growth path in the Department of Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation. Professor Anne Mc Lennan is an associate professor at the Wits School of Governance. Anne was part of the team who established the Wits Graduate School in the early 1990s, and 2017 marks her 25th year at the school. Dr Pontso Moorosi is an associate professor of educational leadership and management at the Centre for Education Studies, University of Warwick, United Kingdom.
