Mohan Lal Kolhe is currently a full professor in smart grid, hydrogen energy & sustainable electrical energy system at the Faculty of Engineering and Science, University of Agder, Norway. He is a leading renewable energy technologist with over three decades of academic experience at the international level. He has held various academic positions at prestigious universities, such as University College London, UK, a branch in Australia; the University of Dundee, UK; the University of Jyvaskyla, Finland; and the Hydrogen Research Institute, Trois-Rivières, QC, Canada. He was also a board member of the Government of South Australia’s Renewable Energy Board (2009–2011) as an advisor on renewable energy policies. He is an expert evaluator of projects for funding at various international research councils, such as European Commission: Erasmus+ Higher Education–International Capacity Building, Royal Society London, UK, Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC UK), Cyprus Research Foundation, etc. His top 10 publications have received an average of more than 200 citations each, making him an acknowledged pioneer in his profession on a global scale.
Qiangqiang Liao was born in Jiangxi Province, China. He received the Ph.D. degree from Tongji University, Shanghai, China in 2009. He is currently the three-level Professor at Shanghai University of Electric Power, Shanghai, China. He is an expert committee member of the China Power Battery Recycling and Cascade Utilization Alliance, an evaluation expert for the National Key Research and Development Program of Intelligent Grid Technology and Equipment, a guest editor of Science and Technology for Energy Transition Journal, and an editorial board member Journal of Solar Energy Research Updates. His research interests include electrochemical energy storage technology and metal corrosion and protection technology. Prof. Liao has published more than 80 peer-reviewed journal papers and has been authorized for 13 Chinese invention patents, in which 10 patents has been transferred to enterprises. He participated in the development of two international standards, one national standard and one local standard, two group standards, and published two books. He won two pieces of the third prizes for scientific and technological progress in Shanghai, one piece of the second prize for electric power technology innovation from the China Electric Power Enterprise Federation, and one piece of the second prize for scientific and technological progress from the China Installation Association.
