Kostas Rontos is Professor of Social Demography and Statistics at the Department of Sociology of the University of the Aegean, Greece, where he is the Director of the Laboratory of Social Informatics, Statistics and Research Infrastructure and of the e-learning program “Empirical Research in Social Sciences”. He has served as editor, guest editor, editorial board member and reviewer for various established scientific journals, and has over 150 publications to his credit, including the books Modeling and New Trends in Tourism-A Contribution to Social and Economic Development (2016) and Towards a Society With a More Fair Economy or an Economy With a More Social Face: The Contribution of Scientific Social Knowledge to the Alternative Models of Socioeconomic Development (2015).Nikolaos Nagopoulos is a Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of the Aegean, Greece, having previously served as a scientific expert working with vulnerable and socially excluded groups. His publications include “Qualitative Research in Sociology” in Journal of Humanities and Cultural Studies (2017) and “Epistemological Aspects of Social Research for the Qualitative Upgrading of Rational Systems in the Areas of Social Policy: The Greek Example” in Journal of Sociology and Criminology (2014).Nikolaos Panagos completed his studies on agricultural economics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and his Master of Arts on Sociology and Environmental Policy at the Sociology Department of the University of the Aegean, Greece, where he is now a PhD candidate. He is a member of the Laboratory of Social Informatics, Statistics and Research Infrastructures, and is the co-author of the article “Research on the Attitudes and Perceptions of the Local Society of Mytilene Regarding the Refugee-Immigrants Issue” in Statistical Review.
