He has been elected as Member of National Academy of Engineering, Fellow of Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), and Distinguished Fellow of the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society (MSOM). An Academic Capitalist, he is Founder of the supply chain software company Smart Ops and the social enterprise Organ Jet.
