Smatie Yemenedzi-Malathouni is Assistant Professor in the Department of American Literature and Culture in the School of English at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Her book A Bridge Over the Balkans: Demetra Vaka Brown and the Tradition of “Women”s Orients” (2011) is published by Gorgias Press and she has co-edited two volumes—Transcultural Localisms (2006) and [City in (Culture] in City) (2005).
