About the author
Dr. Himanshu Mittal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, India. Prior to this, he was working as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, India. He received his Ph.D. in the field of computer vision under the supervision of Dr. Mukesh Saraswat. The keen research areas of Dr. Mittal are image analysis, machine learning, and evolutionary algorithms. He has an excellent academic record as well as a research background with papers in reputed journals including IEEE Transactions. Also, he has been the co-principal investigator of the research project funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, India. Dr. Mittal is also a reviewer of many International Journals and Conferences.
Dr. Satyasai Jagannath Nanda is an assistant professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur since June 2013. Prior to joining MNIT Jaipur he has received the Ph D degree from School of Electrical Sciences, IIT Bhubaneswar and M. Tech. degree from Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engg., NIT Rourkela. He was the recipient of Canadian Research Fellowship- GSEP, from Dept. of Foreign Affairs and Intern. Trade (DFAIT), Govt. of Canada for the year 2009-10. He was awarded Best Ph D thesis award at Soc Pros 2015 by IIT Roorkee. He received the best research paper awards at Soc Pros-2020 at IIT Indore, IC3-2018 at SMIT Sikkim, Soc Pros-2017 at IIT Bhubaneswar, IEEE UPCON-2016 at IIT BHU and Springer OWT-2017 at MNIT. He is the recipient of prestigious IEI Young Engineers Award by Institution of Engineers, Govt. of India in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering for the year 2018-19. Dr. Nanda is a Senior Member of IEEE and IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. He has received travel and research grants from SERB, UGC, CCSTDS (INSA), INAE. Till date he has published 40 SCI/SCOUPUS Journal articles and 50 international conference proceedings which received almost twelve hundred citations. He is the in-charge of Digital Signal and Image Processing (DSIP) Lab. at MNIT Jaipur. Under his supervision at MNIT Jaipur six researchers have awarded Ph D and five researchers are continuing their research work. Along with it he has supervised 22 M. Tech thesis. Dr. Nanda is co-coordinator of Electronics and ICT Academy at MNIT Jaipur which is a set-up of Ministry of Electronics and IT, Govt. of India of Grant 10 Crore.
Dr. Meng-Hiot Lim is a faculty in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He previously held appointment as deputy director for the M.Sc. in Financial Engineering and the Centre for Financial Engineering, anchored at the Nanyang Business School. He is a versatile researcher with diverse interests, with research focus in the areas of computational intelligence, machine learning, finance, algorithms for UAVs and memetic computing. He is currently the Technical Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Memetic Computing published by Springer. He is also the Chief Editor of the PALO (Proceedings on Adaptation, Learning and Optimization) book series by Springer. With significant experience in industrial funded projects, he has a passion for pedagogical engineering and, promoting and nurturing student startups.
