Professor Lorelle Burton is Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) in the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ). A registered psychologist, Lorelle has received local and national teaching excellence awards. She has authored market-leading first year Australian psychology textbooks and heads national research projects on factors that impact on student learning, currently leading USQ collaborations to promote community capacity building and well-being.Associate Professor Jill Lawrence is Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) in the Faculty of Arts at USQ. Jill”s research investigates learning and teaching in higher education. She was awarded the inaugural national Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) citation with Eleanor Kiernan and an individual Australian Carrick Award for Teaching Excellence in 2007.Dr Ann Dashwood is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and TESOL in the Faculty of Education at USQ. Accepted into the USQ Teaching Academy for teaching enhancement of TESOL in higher education contexts, she supervises doctoral candidates in the Applied Linguistics discipline and contributes as a teacher-researcher to the Languages and Cultures Network for Australian Universities (LCNAU).Dr Alice Brown is an educator with 25 years” experience in early childhood, primary and tertiary settings. She is recognised by her peers for innovative practice, leadership and teaching excellence through learning and teaching awards and fellowships in the USQ Teaching Academy. Alice was a finalist in Lecturer of the Year 2009.
