Carole Mc Cann is a professor of women”s and gender studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She coedited, with Seung-kyung Kim, Feminist Theory Reader: Local and Global Perspectives, (New York: Routledge Press, 2003, 2009, and 2013) and is author of Birth Control Politics in the United States, 1916-1945 (Ithaca: Cornell University Press, 1994; 1999).
