Each disorder has several cases associated with it to capture the truly unique nature of working with various client intersections, and half of the cases provide the correct ‘answers’ or diagnosis to allow students to check their understanding of this process. Some cases focus on a diagnosis, others with analysis, and others let the student practice on their own as a way to further student reflection and learning.

Cheree Hammond received a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Virginia and an MA and Ed.S. in Counseling Psychology from James Madison University. A faculty member of Eastern Mennonite University’s Master of Arts in Counseling program for over a decade, Cheree specializes in psychopathology, counseling theories, and mindfulness and psychotherapy, with a focus on Buddhist contemplative theory. When not on the classroom you can find her in the garden, with her husband Scott, adult children, Adriana and Neil, and treasured friends, listening to bird songs and deciding where to plant that next hydrangea.
