Don Thompson was born in San Diego, California in 1951. He studied at the University of California, San Diego and received a degree in Applied Physics and Information Science in 1973. He then pursued a career in software development, participating in companies ranging from small startups to multinational corporations. In 2000, Don left the corporate world to pursue his love of writing. He hasn’t looked back.
Don also enjoys music, volunteering in the Six Traits® school writing program, reading, being a writing coach, and boating in the Northwest. He and his wife, their two teenage kids, and a dog, live on a lake in Woodinville, Washington near the edge of a mysterious forest.
