The typescript of this novella was discovered recently at Prague University. Stefan Zweig, a friend of Ernst Weiss, believed it to be Weiss’ best work.

Tentang Penulis

Ernst Weiss (1884-1940) was born in Brünn (now Brno) in Bohemia. He worked as a doctor and served in The First World War. In 1938 Weiss emigrated to France. He committed suicide the day that German troops entered Paris.
