He is the author of The Tibetans and The Tibetan Assimilation of Buddhism: Conversion, Contestation, and Memory.Gray Tuttle is the Leila Hadley Luce Associate Professor of Modern Tibet in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Columbia University.
