Dr. Prjthvish Nag is the Director of the National Atlas and Thematic Mapping Organisation (NATMO) of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India; and President of the Indian National Cartographic Association and the Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information System. He was the Chairman of the Commission on Population Cartography of the International Cartographic Association (ICA) for the period 1987-91. He has been closely associated with the International activities related to geography and cartography. He has been a Senior Vising Member of the Staff of the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Dr. Nag is author and editor of several books and about 60 research papers. He has been UN Consultant in Cartography in the Sultanate of Oman recently.
Dr. M. Kudrat joined in 1979 the All India Soil and Land Use Survey as Senior Soil Surveyor. In 1986 he was appointed as Scientist/Engineer in the Regional Remote Sensing Service Centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation in Dehra Dun. Dr. Kudrat has published about 32 papers on remote sensing applications including pedology. He has handled national projects like, Land Use Mapping, Waste Land Mapping, Integrated Mission for Sustainable Development, Development of Methodology for Watershed Management Using Remote Sensing (Digital Image Processing) and GIS.
