Lic. phil. Martin Rufer ist in eigener Praxis als Psychologe und Psychotherapeut sowie im Bereich Weiterbildung und Supervision in Bern tätig. Von 2000–2009 war er Geschäftsleiter des ZSB Bern (Zentrum für systemische Therapie und Beratung).
