R.C. Sharma, after graduation from Poona University, was selected for Indian Forest College, Dehradun in the batch 1963-65. He topped in Wildlife Management subject and was awarded E.P. Gee prize. After serving as Assistant Conservator of Forests for eleven years, he was promoted as Divisional Forest Officer in 1976. He was awarded I.F.S. in 1983. Also, he was trained in the first Diploma Course on Advanced Wildlife Management, from Directorate of Wildlife Research and Education, Dehradun in 1977-78. Thereafter, he served in Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Madhav, Panna and Pench National Parks of M.P. as Deputy Director and Director. Finally, he retired as Conservator of Forests from the officer of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, M.P., Bhopal, 2001. J.J. Dutta, joined the Forest Service in M.P. in 148-50 batch of the Indian Forest College, Dehradun. A keen wild lifer he was chosen for Colombo Plan training in Canada in 1966. In 1977 he became Chief Wildlife Warden, M.P. and in the next six years he developed a State, alongwith an independent Wildlife Wing in the Forest Department. He was awarded the Raja Jitendra Mallik Gold Medal of the Zoological Society of India in 182, in acknowledgement of his work in conservation of wildlife. He retired in October, 1984, as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, M.P. Suhas Kumar, is an Indian Forest Service Officer of 1980 batch and belongs to Madhya Pradesh cadre. Besides other assignments, served as head of Faculty of Wildlife Education and Extension, Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradu presently he is posted as Chief Conservator of Forest in the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, (Wildlife), M.P. Bhopal. A.K. Bhattacharya, is an Indian Forest Service Officer of 1983, is presently an Associate Professor and Conservator of Forests in Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal; Post Doctoral in Environmental Sciences has contributed a large number of articles in national and international journals of repute on a range of topics related to forestry and environment. He also has to his credit a book on kandhar Plane Hijack, based on his own experience as a hostage. Dr. Bhattacharge”s main contributions to the field of ecotourism include organizing capacity building workshops and training courses for the local authorities of the various concerned departments, communities and NGOs, extending professional support to the State Government for promotion to the State Government for promotion of eco-tourism, related topics, and preparing Eco-tourism Management Plans for few protected areas.
