Belinda Yuen is a Professorial Fellow and Research Director at the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities, Singapore University of Technology and Design, where she directs the Lee Li Ming Programme in Ageing Urbanism. She is interested in the study of cities, and in particular, in understanding the interactions between the urban built environment and its social, cultural and environmental dynamics. Belinda holds a B.A. (with honours) in Geography from the University of Singapore, an M.A. in Town and Regional Planning from the University of Sheffield, U.K., and a Ph.D. from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
Špela Močnik is a Research Fellow at the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities, Singapore University of Technology and Design. She is part of the Lee Li Ming Programme in Ageing Urbanism and of the “Innovative Planning and Design of Age-Friendly Neighbourhoods in Singapore” project. She is an interdisciplinary sociologist specialising in the study of critical theory, multiculturalism, globalisation, cosmopolitanism, ageing societies and Southeast Asian urbanisms. Špela holds an M.A. (with distinction) from the University of Warwick, U.K., and a Ph.D. from the University of Sussex, U.K.
Freya C.H. Yu is a senior research assistant with the Lee Li Ming Programme in Ageing Urbanism at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. She completed her training in clinical medicine at Sun Yat-sen University, China, and received her Master of Public Health from the University of Hong Kong. Her main research interest is in population health, especially geriatric research.
Winston Yap is a research assistant at the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities, Singapore University of Technology and Design and is attached to the “Innovative Planning and Design of Age-Friendly Neighbourhoods in Singapore” project. His background is in the field of urban planning and real estate development, with a Bachelor of Real Estate and Master in Urban Planning from the National University of Singapore. His research interests include the active pedestrianisation of streets, street programming, urban gentrification, public life studies of urban spaces, and the role of big data analytics in shaping urban decision-making.
