The authors describe the diagnosis, differential diagnosis, establishment of indications and successful treatment of chronic pain conditions that are not caused by tumours. The aim is to motivate psychotherapists to become involved in pain therapy and provide them with the skills they need to do this. The book is also a guide to the ‘Psychosomatic Pain Therapy’ curriculum established by the German Association for Psychosomatic Medicine and Medical Psychotherapy (DGPM) in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Association for Psychosomatic Pain Therapy (IGPS).

Tentang Penulis

Prof. Ulrich T. Egle is Chair of the Interdisciplinary Association for Psychosomatic Pain Therapy. He was awarded the HEIGL Prize in 2016 for his research in the field of psychosomatic pain therapy and for the development of an effective therapeutic approach in stress-induced pain disturbances. Dr. Burkhard Zentgraf is Chief Physician in the Kinzigtal Psychosomatic Clinic in Gengenbach, where he heads the pain department.
