Olen toiminut sairaanhoitajana, osastonhoitajana ja ylihoitajana erikoissairaanhoidossa, vanhainkodissa johtajana ja sairaanhoitajien, lähihoitajien hoiva-avustajien kouluttajana. Olen kirjoittanut sote-alan oppikirjoja ja yhden muistelmateoksen, jossa sairaalan eri ammattiryhmät muistelevat työtään 1960-luvun alusta 2000-luvun alkuun. Olen nyt työeläkkeellä.
Olen edelleen seurannut ammattilehtien ja median kautta hoiva- ja hoitotyön ja koulutusen muutoksia ja kehityssuuntia tavoitteena päivittää sote-alan oppikirjat vastaamaan tämän päivän tietoja.
