Dr Anna Barcz is the Faculty of English Philology Assistant Professor at the University of Bielsko-Biala, Poland, and a Researcher in the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences. She is the author of Ecological Realism: From Ecocriticism to Zoocriticism (2016), as well as numerous essays on cultural and literary representations of animals and the environment. She has recently co-authored and co-edited a book titled Animals and Their People. Connecting East and West in Cultural Animal Studies.
