Danielle Davis has been a creative writer of short stories and poetry since elementary school. When she was 14, she wrote a poem entitled, “Check Yourself America!”, in response to the murders of Robert Kennedy & Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Without her knowledge, her father submitted it to a local newspaper in the Seattle, Washington vicinity, and they published it on the front page. It was only after her children were out of the house and moving through school, however, that she decided to sit down and actually write a novel. Being from a diverse family that encompasses varied ethnicity and religious backgrounds, Danielle was inspired to create, in her first novel, a character that must deal with the racial issues of the day, to make hard choices, to make mistakes, to deal with the ramifications of them, and to work toward correcting them, as so many of us must in life. She looks forward to expressing her love of writing with future books that will encompass varied topics, including current social issues as well as faith and inspiration. Danielle Davis has been living in Northern California, happily married to her best earthly friend for over thirty-five years. She is the mother of two daughters and three sons and the grandmother of eight. In February, 2016, she welcomed the birth of her first great-grandchild.
