Dr Rashmi Jain, Director, Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive policy, and Associate Professor, Department of Sociology, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur has her interest in the area of Development Communication, Gender studies, Sociology of Law, leisure studies and European Studies. She has been regularly taking part in conferences and seminars both in the country and abroad and has been active in organizing national and international conferences. Her published work includes ‘Communicating Rural Development- Strategies and Alternatives’ and more than 20 research papers in national and international journals. She is Convener of research committee on Sociology of Law of Indian Sociological Society. Besides being an academician, she has been working for raising voice for destitute women and citizen’s issues by collaborating with civil society organizations of Rajasthan. She is also member of Ethics committee for clinical trials at Monilek Hospital and Research Centre and member of several bodies of the University and state government.
