Dr. Gnanapragasam LAZAR (b. 1954) is a student of Prof. Stephen Fuchs the eminent Anthropologist of Vienna School. Dr. Lazar has obtained his M.A. in Philosophy, in the University of Poona (1986) and furthered his studies in Anthropology at the University of Lancaster, England where he obtained M.A., M.Phil., and then Ph D (1994). Apart from his regular teaching, conducting inter-religious dialogue meetings and research, he has published four books, 38 research papers and edited 9 books in Anthropology, Sociology and World Religions. He was also a visiting Research Fellow at Yara University, Melbourne, Australia. He is the Founder Director of SANSKRUTI (Institute of Dravidian Culture and Research). Currently he is the President of Asia-Pacific Mission and Research (ASPAMIR).
