BLOCK XX/XX or BLOCK 2020 – About the author… I used the pen-name Dr Goose X because I wish to remain anonymous. Thank you for your understanding. Is it a cross between Doctor Seuss and Mother Goose? No, but I like the way you think. Seriously, I am permanently disabled. Both physically and mentally. I suffer from a chemical imbalance in my brain, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, insomnia, major depression, memory loss, brain fog, and sometimes anxiety attacks (to name just a few). This has also caused me to be blind in one eye and a host of other ailments. What you can do simply is a chore for me, like tying my shoes for example. I cannot control this chronic illness; however I have been able to maintain a hefty IQ, 138. I joke that I have three lives. I am the youngest of eight children. My father died when I was five years old and my mother was a housewife. We did not have money. I know what starvation feels like. I graduated from college by working three or more jobs at a time. (I wish this on nobody). Later I moved onto my second life. I started as a grunt in Corporate America. This was the time when we did not have computers and sometimes no phones. Therefore, meetings were done face to face. There was a lot of travelling involved. I stopped counting after 60 countries. I did move up the ladder and became a corporate executive. About 13 years ago, I cannot recall correctly, I got sick and took early retirement. Now I am on my third life. I did some work as a college professor and wrote five textbooks. However, I struggle daily, hourly, “minute by minute”. The book I created took almost five years to write. I was inspired to help others. I am blessed. Although a fiction, it is based on many real-life experiences, exposures to different cultures and beliefs. BLOCK XX/XX is an adult hybrid fiction, a contemporary fantasy, with science and religion and lore, some self-help and hopefully thought-provoking entertainment. BLOCK XX/XX is based on two premises: 1. Imagine if heaven was here on earth. 2. We know from the scriptures and other sources that there are those who have never died.
