"Documentary Linguistics" is an academic serial publication with two issues annually. The primary sections include: Classics Reprint, Original Reports, Academic Overviews, Contentious Book Reviews, and Youth Forum. This journal emphasizes the publication of original research works, encompassing the latest findings in the areas of documentary linguistics theory and methodology, the history of Chinese characters and their study, glossematics and lexical history, phonology and the history of pronunciation, syntax and the history of grammar, regional dialects and their historical development, as well as the history of language and linguistics. It also features academic syntheses on current hot topics and focal points, reviews of significant scholarly works, purely academic debates or consultative articles on important issues, and publishes documentary linguistics research materials of considerable academic value. The journal particularly supports the advancement of young scholars.
