Dr. Jaspal Singh Hundal was born on 15th January, 1975 at village Sarobadh, district Jalandhar, Punjab and serving Punjab Agricultural University and GADVASU, Ludhiana from last 18 years in various capacities. Dr. Hundal has honour of receiving prestigious Partnership Excellence Award-2013 (NABARD), Drool’s Nutrition Award-2018 (ISACP), Best Extensionist Award-2019 (Institutional), Associate Fellow of ANSI 2019, 4 Appreciation Awards, 7 best paper/poster awards and 6 letters of appreciation from various agencies. Dr. Hundal authored two textbooks ‘Basics of Animal Nutrition’ and ‘Animal Nutrition Made Easy’, 2 book chapters and 7 teaching practical manuals. Dr. Hundal was instrumental in starting ‘Farmers Information Centre’ at GADVASU, Ludhiana and a core team member for commercialization of Calf starter technology and Dairy ration formulation technology to Markfed, Punjab by the University. Dr. Udeybir Singh Chahal, presently working as Senior Animal Scientist (Professor) in Department of Animal Nutrition, GADVASU, Ludhiana, has started his carrier as Assistant Professor, Animal Nutrition, in NDUA&T, Kumarganj, Faizabad, UP. He has 20 years of teaching experience and taught undergraduate and post-graduate courses of Animal Nutrition. He edited 3 textbooks, 15 teaching practical manuals, 3 compendium, 7 pamphlets, 2 calendars and 7 book chapters in books of university publication. He has published 57 research articles and guided 15 PG students as major advisor/co-advisor. He also participated/attended 18 national or international conferences/seminars/ symposia/workshops and delivered many paper/poster presentations. He has coordinated 35 training courses on different livestock enterprises, delivered more than 200 expert lectures, coordinated/facilitated 70 Pashu Palan/Regional Kisan Melas and 25 Animal Welfare Camps for benefit of farmers and farm women. Dr. Jaswinder Singh did his M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. in animal nutrition and presently working as Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension Education, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, Punjab. Dr. Singh has authored two books on animal nutrition, 6 manuals, six books for farmers, ten book chapters and more than 30 research papers in his 15 years of professional career. Dr. Singh won many national and international awards, including Best Teacher Award, Budding Extensionist Award, Australia Award Fellowship, etc. Dr. Singh till now had guided four M.V.Sc. students as major guide and ten students as co guide. Dr. Singh has handled three projects and presently involved in four research projects. Being in extension wing of university, Dr. Singh has a vast experience of field level situations of dairy farms and nutrition related problem in dairy animals.
