John Barrett grew up in the city of Lawrence, Massachusetts, and began writing at sixteen. He has been passionate about his work in poetry though through rough times as a young adult his publishing a book seems so far away with the death of his brother. He realized that there was something to be learned that in the moments of sadness, writing was all he can do. His brother Justin would surely be proud publishing his first book Melancholy with Love at twenty-five. There is something more in a human beyond logic and emotion, yet we will only understand if we put our thoughts and hearts together, then we can understand how to heal.
