Kathy Irvine is a British/Canadian artist who is the creator and writer of the graphic novel series, The World of Mega Centarri. This is a project she started many years ago and put aside as other works took over, but she has recently returned to it and is enjoying the journey of the fantasy sci-fi world she has created. The Mega Centarri project expanded and has become a platform where various characters come to life, through the medium of a mobile game based on the Mega Centarri story and world. It also features contemporary music by virtual Diva Priz Em. Kathy is a professional singer songwriter and has spent most of her career recording and performing live. She has been writing poetry and short stories since she was a child, and was finally given the opportunity in 2005 to write for a children’s educational animation series under the direction of the late Thilo Rex, one of the original innovators and editors of the German Comixene Magazine that was first published in Germany in 1974. She is now releasing her own works, collaborating with her team of comic book artists Gabriel Caitano Dos Santos and Deivis Goetten, Javier Mena, Omi Remalante Jr, and Giuliano Peratelli. One of the main features of the Mega Centarri platform is Priz Em virtual Diva, pop star and virtual human. Kathy lives in a small seaside town on an island in British Columbia Canada, with her musician husband and their two cats Spider and Tiger. She describes the island as a beautiful and peaceful place, the perfect place to create together ‘Music and art have allowed me to see the world, the experience of which adds to the creativity of my story telling’.
