Lauri Houghton-Todd is a native Oregonian, born and currently resides in Eugene, yet was raised on the beautiful Oregon coast. Her son and daughter are all raised and graduated from university, but she remembers fondly the joy of reading to her children as they grew up. She works in the medical field as a receptionist. Lauri grew up doing live theater, which included extensive dance, singing, and acting. From that creativity grew a love of song-writing, and thus she also thrived in writing poetry and enjoyed writing stories when she was a child. She has a passion for the preservation and stewardship of the great outdoors and enjoying nature in all its splendor.
