Lucia Abbamonte is an Associate Professor of English Language and Translation at the University of Campania – Luigi Vanvitelli, Italy, where she teaches in Masters and PhD courses. Her other fields of interest are communication in socially sensitive contexts and through the new media, language in professional practice and mediation, teaching ESP for (neuro)psychology and the cognitive sciences, and the translation and adaptation of scientific texts. She has authored four books and 50 essays, and is a reviewer for international journals. Her 2012 volume Integrated Methodology for Emotion Talk in Socio-legal Exchanges.
