Lynn Purkey is a UC Foundation Professor of Spanish as at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She received her Ph.D. in Hispanic Languages and Literatures at UC Berkeley. Her research interests include European Modernisms, Hispanic women writers, literary representations of war, and the exiles of 1939. She is the author of Spanish Reception of Russian Narratives 1905-1939: Transcultural Dialogics. Recent scholarship includes work on María Teresa León, García Lorca, and César Arconada.
