Spectrum sensing deals with several subjects, that range from statistical and probability theory to radio propagation and signal processing, with cognitive radio playing an important role to the evolution and dissemination of new applications in the area. Carlos Danilo Miranda Regis is professor of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Para’ba – IFPB. He has his doctorate in electrical engineering with emphasis in signal processing from UFCG. Carlos is leader of the digital signal processing group (GPDS) of IFPB and chief editor of Principia Magazine. He is also an expert on video and image processing and biological signal processing.
