Nancy Marshall studied Fine Art
and English at Virginia Commonwealth
University when it was part of the College
of William and Mary. She obtained her Master’s Degree in the Pennsylvania
state system. She has worked as a
psychotherapist since 1985 and lives in Pennsylvania. She currently supervised a Family-Based
Mental Health Treatment Unit of three teams of therapists. She also maintains a private practice and
works with Healing Work in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She is an expert in trauma treatment and is
certified to use EMDR. Why Family Therapy Doesn’t Work is the
result of many years of experience in family therapy. The book is dedicated to all of those of us
who have found it difficult to love someone and to young therapists who would
like a more inventive, eclectic approach to healing and want to be more
successful.
