The Color of Ghosts is a collection of poems documenting the author’s personal journey through anxiety and depression. Some of these concepts and works date back even to her elementary school years. They describe what she felt and how she viewed the world. The dark places, the bright spots, the lonely, the empty, the beauty, the tragedy, the real and the imagined – these poems are her heart, her mind, her soul. This is the candid revelation of the author as she is and was, these are the colors of her ghosts.

My name is Olivia Henson. I have always had a special connection to the written word. In elementary school I wrote my first poem and I’ll never forget the relief I felt in finally getting the weight on my chest transferred to paper. Poetry has been my outlet for every thought and emotion ever since. I hopes that this collection helps to shed some light on the what goes on inside the minds of those who go through what I went through and still struggle with every day.
