Ramesh Gampat is an economist, who has worked for more than two decades with the United Nations Development Programme. While stationed in Asia, he was a member of the team that prepared four Asia-Pacific Human Development Reports, and is the co-editor of a two-volume book titled Perspectives on Corruption and Human Development, which was published by Macmillan (Delhi) in 2009. He has published academic papers on inflation, poverty, international trade, human development, gender and corruption. His current research interests include human development, and nutrition and diseases. Dr. Gampat lives with his wife just outside Atlanta, Georgia.
