Garces is Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin and Affiliate Faculty at the Center for Mexican American Studies and the University of Texas School of Law. She is the coeditor (with Erica Frankenberg and Megan Hopkins) of School Integration Matters: Research-Based Strategies to Advance Equity.
