She has an undergraduate degree in accounting and an MBA from Stetson University. Additionally, she is a certified business professional and a retired certified treasury professional. After managing the accounting department for a Fortune 500 company for a decade, she then began to explore treasury and financial and strategic management within the company. This is where she developed her love of teaching. After over twenty-five years of dedication to corporate America, she retired to become a consultant. As the vice president and treasurer for a financial services consulting firm, she designed and facilitated adult educational courses relating to various financial- and accounting-related topics. Through seminars, workshops, conferences, specialized onsite training, and online delivery of sessions, she instructed thousands of business professionals and authored several articles published in academic journals. This is where she developed her love of writing. She has since retired from the traveling required by consulting and currently provides college students with opportunities to master the skills needed to be successful in future college work and in the business world. She teaches accounting and finance based subjects. In her spare time, she writes about those things that demand to be put on paper.
