Dog-Eared Notes is a collection of cartoons that I have given my husband over the years based on the antics of our two naughty dogs, Monty and Napoleon. They started life as scraps of paper that I would put in with his sandwiches for work and I have taken a selection and re-drawn them here. Though the dogs are no longer with us we talk about them often and will be getting another dog soon we hope, though I am hoping he or she won’t be as clever or as naughty as the previous two!

Jane Smith is a full time illustrator who lives and works in Mapua, New Zealand. She loves all animals but is especially fond of dogs, she had two very naughty dogs called Monty and Napoleon who were the inspiration for this book
