About the author

Living in Sussex, I find inspiration for my stories during long walks on the beach and while exploring the South Downs with my dog. My journey as a writer began during my time in Thailand, where the idea for this book was born as I watched my son, Jack, play with a butterfly that kept fluttering around him. I draw inspiration for my characters from the natural world, observing the silent yet profound communication between different species. If we pay attention and listen carefully, there’s a language, respect, and understanding that nature shares with us. If you’d like to receive advance notice of the next adventure in The Boy and the Butterfly series, please join the mailing list. Reading with your child is one of the most important ways to introduce them to the world of play and imagination. Just 10 minutes a day before bed can make a world of difference, nurturing their creativity and strengthening the bond between you. I am passionate about books, and I hope you will love this one as much as I loved creating it.Thank you for reading! With love and best wishes, Jemima
